Liz Richardson – Managing Director and Co founder
Liz is an experienced person centred counsellor (MBACP) and Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP). Liz gained her degree in Applied Psychology before gaining her Post graduate diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy and then training as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner. Liz has worked within an NHS psychological therapies service for 10 years delivering counselling as well as low intensity Cognitive Behavioural based interventions to people experiencing common mental health problems such as anxiety, depression, stress, loss and trauma.
Liz and Laura started Therapy in Mind Services at the end of 2020 after they observed that many people did not have the opportunity to access the support they needed. Often mental health difficulties could be lessened and in some cases could even be preventable if only individuals were able to access the help, support or mental health skills training they needed sooner
Liz and Laura set to work designing bespoke training that furnishes individuals with the skills to recognise and manage common mental health problems in themselves and others . All training is informed by their experience and evidenced based practices used within NHS services.
